Team Collaboration Meeting

The work we do together is simple: we start by elevating how leaders show up—for themselves and their teams. When that shifts, everything else follows.

For more than two decades, Dr. Monica L'Esperance has worked inside the real systems where leadership breaks or gets rebuilt. Her experience spans sports, education, utilities, law, nonprofits, and early-stage companies, giving her a rare cross-sector understanding of how people operate under pressure. This breadth gives her a rare cross-sector understanding that enables her to help clients see patterns others miss, make clearer decisions in complexity, and perform effectively when stakes are high.

Her doctoral research on leadership in professional sports gives her a distinct advantage: she understands high performance—how it’s built, sustained, and derailed.

At the foundation of her coaching is a belief formed early: people grow best in spaces where they feel seen, safe, and genuinely supported. That value guides how she listens, the honesty she brings to every conversation, and the confidentiality she upholds. Monica brings that same lens to senior executives navigating growth, transition, or high-stakes change.

She’s known for getting to the point quickly, naming what others avoid, and helping leaders move with clarity instead of noise.

Clients trust her because she tells the truth, connects it to data, and stays focused on behaviors that drive results. Whether coaching a rising leader or supporting an executive team, Monica helps people lead with more intention, stronger presence, and measurable impact.

Leaders choose Dr. L'Esperance when they want a coach who is steady, smart, and unafraid to challenge them—someone who blends strategic insight with a grounded understanding of human performance.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, cheering on her two teenage boys at their high school and college sporting events, and taking her dogs for long walks. If you're in New Orleans, you may find her at Jazz Fest in the spring or enjoying Mardi Gras with friends and family.

Credentials

Dr. L'Esperance holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a master’s degree in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University, and an Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. She is also certified in Executive Leadership Coaching through Harvard Professional and Executive Education and is a Prosci Change Management Practitioner.
